I am passionate about breastfeeding and want to enable families to feel confident in their breastfeeding journey.
I grew up partly in Zimbabwe and partly in Germany. I am married to Peter and mother of 3 boys Nyasha Manuel, Anesu Marek and Maita Melvin. I breastfed all three of them and know that breastfeeding can sometimes have challenges.
I originally studied agriculture and worked in organic farming before I found my calling in Lactation Support. I started studying again and became an IBCLC in 2017.
I love to read, learn from others all over the world and keep up to date. I regularly attend iLactation and Gold Lactation conferences and read the newest evidence based research on breastfeeding.
I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant® (IBCLC®). An IBCLC is a healthcare professional who specializes in the clinical management of breastfeeding. An IBCLC is certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners® (IBLCE®). IBCLC’s work in a wide variety of settings, providing leadership, advocacy, professional development, and research in the lactation field. Verify that I am an IBCLC: https://iblce.org/public-registry Search with my name or Certification Number L-122473 to find out my accreditation status.
